Young People and The Internet in Mauritius

The first International Conference on Faith and Service, "Building Bridges Through Interreligious Dialogue and Youth Civic Engagement," was held March 22 in Washington, DC. United States Under Secretary of State Karen Hughes addressed the conference. Mr. Taj Hamad, WANGO's Secretary General, moderated the session, Faith Leaders and Communities of Hope. Internet Child Safety Foundation, a WANGO member, has launched a one year awareness campaign on the importance of safe use of the Internet by young people in Mauritius, with the first of the series of seminars held on the March 25th at Batimarais, a rural region of the country.
