Serving the Nation, Serving
the World May 25-27, 2001 New York City
-- This symposium was held to join the UN in celebrating the
International Day of Families. Representatives from 108 nations
attended and Ambassador for Peace Awards were initiated to honor
and encourage men and women who have excelled in the peace-making
process and who have exhibited exemplary efforts in public service.
The award ceremonies were held in 8 major cities.
